Chinese Demand for Australian Iron Ore Is Expected to Continue to Grow

Australia’s economic fate has been closely linked with the Chinese economy, the pressure of the recent economic downturn has also infiltrated to Australia. Recently one article from Australia News Network said that China’s demand for Australian iron ore is expected to continue to increase.

At Ningbo Port, the bulk of iron ore from the Pilbara, Australia is still a steady flow. Ningbo Port Iron Ore Port Han- general manager, said that 300 iron ore freighter unloading one year, half of them from Australia. China for its economic development will increase the steel production capacity,  most of the iron ore is from overseas, Australia is our most important import partners. In 2012, 47 million tons of iron ore entering Ningbo Port, of which 24 million tons from Australia."

Han predicted that in 2013, we will uninstall the 51.5 million tons of iron ore, of which the number from Australia will be increased to 25-26 million tons, in 2014 this number will reach 27-28 million tons.

With the rapid urbanization process in China, the new metro, roads, bridges and other construction projects will expand, which means that the injection of large quantities of iron ore.
